Infolinks.com and Google Search

Day 3

Today I am planning to add in:
1. Infolinks.com - which adds in relevant adverts in the text on your blog, so there is more potential revenue

2. Google search - which is another option in Google adsense - but this means adding html again, so it may take some time

Still made no money at all! Zilch, nil points!

Really need to work on optimising this blog. Not easy when you have kids to chase after and shopping to do!

Adding an RSS feed

OK, trying to add an RSS feed - to increase exposure of this blog. Thought if I do that then I might make revenue from Adsense. But this involves playing with the code, and it will take me a while to sort it. The buttons have appeared (glamourous assistant now points to the right) but I don't think they work yet. Bit more time needed to sort this out, and I have to pick up my daughter from school, so later on it is.

Decided to give Google Money making thing a miss for now, will look up info when I can - a quick search just showed up loads of blogs endorsing it ... and very little along the lines of real information. But I am guessing it's just tools about increasing a site's exposure, and I'm finding out that anyway for free!

Think I've got the RSS working, now have to add it to directories.

Milking the Internet cash cow - Google Money System

Day 2

1. Find out more about Google Money System
2. Add RSS feed to blog
3. Find out about being included in RSS and Blog directories
4. More research!

Right, this is my first try of an
Internet get rich quick scheme.

I saw a blog advertised on Facebook that said you can make easy money from Google, for the massive outlay of $2. Its called Google Money system.

Now, I'm skint, but I figure that $2 is worth the punt ... and this blog says I could make me up to $42, 300 in 3 months working from home using Google Money System. Which sounds like a good deal! So, I'm going to spend some dollars and see what happens next... I hope its not a pyramid type scheme, that means I end up posting ads asking for $2 to tell people how to get rich... you get the idea!

OK - so I've found out a bit more, and it is $2 for a 7 day trial, and then costs $47 per month if you carry on ... is this sounding scam-like yet?

In the interests of investigation and cash-productions I might give it a go!  But I am in too minds, as I have just had a closer look at the website, and they are not endorsed by Google, and they have logos from CNN and other reputable companies, and then the small print says that they don't endorse the so-called Google Money System either. Hum.... interesting.

Tags

I don't know what tags are yet either (you're prompted to add them when you create a blog post) so I will be researching that too. I guess its meant to help with searching for this blog, so my tags will all be about working from home, and trying to make money.

Promoting my blog

Ok, now for step three - Research.

Looks like there's a lot to learn about, so I will be good and do some research. Seems there are a million and one ways to promote your blog. Well, I'll be looking at the free ones, and I'll let you know how I get on.  I am now set to become a blog PR expert!

So, nearing the end of day one, and my online fortune is looking like a grand total of: £0, or zilch.

Still think there's gold in them there interwebnet hills?  ... well, the jury's still out!

Adsense account awaiting approval

Right, now I've added Adsense.

This is a thing from Google, and means that you add adverts to your blog... which is why there is now adverts on my blog! You just have to hope that the ads won't hack anyone off too much ... but it might be worth it if you make some money.

I'm not sure how yet, and whether it means that a million people have to click on the ads, but ... we'll just have to wait and see!

Note on my blog

There's a note on my new blog telling me that my adsense account is awaiting approval. I assumed this meant I need to approve it and I have just spent 20 mins trying to find out how to do this.

But, it means THEY are waiting to approve my adsense account. Good.

Less than twelve hours later and it's approved... so, on with the ads!

Well ... we'll see

Call me sceptical, but I don't really believe all those online ads that tell me there is easy money to be made out there on the interwebnet.

Then I thought, well, you're broke. So why not put it to the test... so this is the start of my internet money making experiment, here goes:

Day 1
  1. Set up a blog
  2. Add Google adsense
  3. Do some more research

So far so good, completed two out of three... and as the cheesy song goes, that ain't bad. Will do some more reseach later and watch the money start to flood in!
